Ten Speed
Here's a few pictures of the Ten Speed competition at the 2004 Knap-in.  Some of the Northeasts top knappers are sitting in that group.  I chickened out that year and just watched.  These competitions are lot of fun to all levels of knappers, so try it at least once, and don't be bashfull.
Pictured here sitting down are three of New Yorks most notorious knappers.  Front:  Jim Fisher, Middle:  Ken Wallace, Back: Dan Long.   If memory serves me correctly, Dan got a real bad piece of rock that broke apart in chunks, so he didn't end up having anything to make a decent point from. Jim got a nice piece on Onondaga Chert and manages to make a decent point out of it, while Ken made a super side notched point out of a piece of Obsidian that he drew.  Several others managed to make decent points too.
Here are the group of guys knapping during the competition.  A huge group gathered around and it was often times hard to get in to see all the action.  Front:  Dan Long, Ken Wallace, Back:  Jim Woodring.
