Insitu Pictures

Insitu is a term Avocationals and collectors alike use that means "in situation" or "just as you found it".  Here are pictures of some of my artifact recoveries just as the artifact was before I touched it.  In essence, you are seeing what I saw as I walked up to the artifact.  Enjoy!

This was the second piece I found that day.  It wasn't as easy to spot.  This particular area produces a lot of pottery, but few points which has always been a bit of a mystery to me.

Below is the first piece of pottery I found on that particular day.  I was amazed at how clean it was after a thunderstorm had brought hard rains.

Here's another piece recovered on the same day.  All of the pottery in this particular part of this site occurs within a 30 ft radius.
